Thursday! This means that there’s only a few days left before NDA depart for Cape Town. As Maria Liv is the one leaving, she’ll be writing the blog herself from Cape Town and Stellenbosch – and will help us follow NDA’s work in South Africa in the following month. NDA would have loved to bring people like for example Louise Høgenhaven to help out as well, if only South Africa wasn’t so far away from Denmark. Hopefully next time!
Before Maria Liv takes over the blog for a while, we will present you with the list of organizations she will be visiting in South Africa.
A few things have changed, since we announced the list on Booomerang (check out ‘support the project’ on our website). First of all, we have unfortunately not been able to confirm the meeting with the organization Little Angels after all. Also our visit at Baphumelele has been shortened from 4 days till 1 day, as they are a lot more busy than they expected. But we are grateful that they still have time to see us, something we are looking very much forward to.
And then we have some fantastic news as well! We have been able to establish a meeting with the National Association of Child Care Workers and the Isibindi programme. Their work for children and people affected by the HIV-epidemic in South Africa has been highly acknowledged in the country, and we are very grateful that they have taken time out of their schedule to meet with us. NACCW have also set us in contact with another project: James House in Hout Bay. We look very much forward to visiting them as well.
The updated list of organizations that NDA and Maria Liv will be visiting in South Africa, is as follows:
På ovenstående liste finder du links til de organisationer, som NDA vil besøge, mens vi er i Sydafrika. Vi rejser som sagt på mandag, og glæder os rigtig meget! Maria Liv er den eneste, der bliver sendt afsted denne gang, og hun tager derfor over på bloggen fra næste uge. Så får vi en chance for at følge med på turen herinde fra.
