Interview with Iben
-What motivated you to join NDA?
There is no excuse to stop thinking about those who are worse off than one self.
Rather, I applaud the values and vision of NDA which is why I chose to partake.
Adding to that, I’ve never taken the ‘consume and discard’-culture to heart and I’ve personally been a keen second-hand shopper, and contributor, since my teenage years. That’s also why I think it’s a fine opportunity to contribute to NDA by donating older designs – and now to a place where the collections might gain a completely new and special meaning.
-Name three things that you think make the world a better, more beautiful place.
Cooperation, love and trees!
-Name three things that the world would be better off without.
Egotism, hate and pollution.
-Are you own designs inspired by Scandinavian culture and trends?
Yes, definitely, but since I’m also a colorist I’m not a designer who’s able to simply stick to the monochromatic scale!
-What else inspires you?
Contrasts, color compositions, culture, tactilities and structures but also street culture and traveling abroad. Tranquility and silence also have a good inspirational effect on me though.
-Who is your typical customer?
My visual expression probably appeals mainly to women but above all I’d like to strike a chord with both genders and create unisex designs!
